Thank you for visiting my web site and allowing me to share my work with you. My goal is to continually create an interesting and informative window of my work and to allow visitors an opportunity to tour the exciting world of make-up special effects. I welcome your emails and comments and will try to respond as time permits.
How- time flies! We’ve been fortunate in working non-stop since January with some exciting new projects. “The X-Files” has been very stimulating and with a tremendous creative flow coming out of the show on our part. Maybe you happened to catch the episode that aired on Sunday May 6th, with the salamander creature designed by Stephan Dupuis & myself. A lot of great camera shots in that episode which only enhanced our work. Bill Roe, the D.P. (director of photography) is an imaginative and innovative person to work with. Needless-to-say, Chris Carter & Frank Spotnitz are just as amazing, to work with both creatively & personally.
We are also working on:
“The Scorpion King” creating some make-up effects for department head make-up artist Jeff Dawn on the show.
“Road to Perdition” creating make-up effects for department head make-up artist Dan Striepeke.
“The Hunted” creating & applying some blood effects for department head make-up artist Bob Ryan on this William Friedkin film. It’s great to work with Billy again after working with him some 12 years ago on “The Guardian”.
“The Panic Room” creating make-up effects for department head make-up artist Jullie Pearce.
A couple of commercials which we’ve been making a prairie dog & gerbil for.
Thanks
Matthew W. Mungle
