Thank you for visiting my web site
and allowing me to share my work with you. My goal is to
continually create an interesting and informative window
of my work and to allow visitors an opportunity to tour the
exciting world of make-up special effects. I welcome your
emails and comments and will try to respond as time permits.
Welcome to 2008!
2007 was an exceptional year, excluding of course, the last two months with the start of the writer's strike. We’re all affected by this and are subsequently seeing a lack of work as we enter the New Year.
2007 started out with our continuing and new Television shows "CSI", "NCIS", "House", "Women's Murder Club", "Desperate Housewives" & "Medium".
We worked on the mini-series "John Adams" for HBO creating silicone old age prosthetics for Paul Giamatti, Laura Linney and a few other characters. Trefor Proud, Chris Burgoyne and John Bayless applied all the prosthetics on set.
I have to say that I had a great time applying 7 different prosthetic make-ups on Tracey Ullman for her new show "State of the Union" back in October. She’s fantastic to work with! She’d start getting into all the characters as I began the applications, making me laugh so hard that I’d have to stop to compose myself – a very talented, funny lady! The 5 episodes will air starting in March on Showtime. Hopefully she'll make more episodes.
We worked on "The Eye" creating several make-up effects and were applied on set in Albuquerque, New Mexico by Richard Redlefsen.
We created prosthetic effects and 3 bodies for "Untraceable”. We shot in Portland, Oregon - I was able to go and apply all of the prosthetic make-ups with the assistance of Jamie Kelman, Michael McCracken, Carlton Coleman and Christina Smith.
"Midnight Meat Train" was a fun film to work on, creating creatures, make-up effects prosthetics & full nude male and female bodies. This film gave me a chance to be on set and apply the prosthetic make-ups. These films are due to be released during the first five months of this year.
Additional work included making and applying a foam latex bald cap (which Lynne Watson skillfully punched hair in) for Jack Nicholson in "The Bucket List". We also constructed a foam latex bald cap for Morgan Freeman which was applied by Ed French. The film was released this month (January '08).
Back in September we worked on "Superhero!" and which will be released in theatres in March. We created bodies and an old age make-up.
"Wicked", the Broadway musical, is still going strong! We’re making mask for the Broadway and the Chicago, Los Angeles, US touring company and two productions in Japan.
Have a great 2008.
